Under Indian Line of Credit, Ashok Leyland – the flagship firm of Hinduja Group procured this against a tender, for the 300 double-decker buses, which according to them would help in decongesting the busy roads of Dhaka.
Time of delivery will take about eight months from now, it added.
Managing Director of Ashok Leyland, Vinod K Dasari said “Bangladesh is one of our key export markets and this order further strengthens our position”.
He further said:” Exports have been a strong focus for us to de-risk from cyclicality in Indian market and to globalize our product portfolio. This is a significant win for us and builds on the strong export growth we had last year and this order win is yet another testimony of our leadership in the country“.
